Religious slaughter

Religious slaughter is slaughter following guidelines or rules imposed by specific religions. Nevertheless there are three basic issues so far as animal welfare is concerned: the stressfulness of restraint methods, pain perception during the incision, and the latency of onset of complete insensibility. The three main types of religious slaughter are Kosher, Halal and Jhatka.
